About

With over twenty years of experience, Jennifer Davis has evolved alongside the systems she builds. Now an Engineering Manager at Google, Jennifer has spent her career solving the complex puzzle of operability and reliability.

Her path has taken her from building service platforms at Yahoo to simplifying infrastructure-as-code at Chef, and later, to principal roles at RealSelf and advocacy at Microsoft. Along the way, she wrote the book on the industry’s shift toward collaboration, authoring titles such as Effective DevOps and Modern System Administration.

Jennifer’s work is rooted in the belief that technical excellence is inseparable from community health. As a founder of CoffeeOps and a core organizer for devopsdays, she is an advocate for sustainable engineering practices. She continues to guide teams in building robust systems while ensuring that the people behind the technology can thrive.
